Direct Deposit
The Dallas Housing Authority converted its Housing Choice Voucher program software in July 2008. This conversion resulted in a disruption to our direct deposit of the landlord Housing Assistance Payments normally made on the first of each month. As a result of this disruption, DHA will mail the Housing Assistance Payment to the owner's address on record. All payments will be mailed on August 1, 2008. For the convenience of its customers, the Leased Housing department will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, August 4 to Thursday, August 7, 2008.
In addition, DHA has established an e-mail address for landlords at LL-Hotline@dhadal.com. On August 11, 2008, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at 2575 Lone Star Drive Dallas, Texas 75212, DHA will host a Landlord Roundtable to discuss the impact of the new program software.

Dear Property Owner/Manager:
The purpose of this letter is to alert you to some issues involving checks issued by the Dallas Housing Authority as part of its Housing Choice Voucher program. There have been delays in
processing some of these checks. As a result, the agency is behind in its payments to some property owners. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We have strengthened staffing in this area
and should have the issue fully resolved by the end of May 2007. As a landlord, you may or may not be affected—however, we wanted to alert all owners. The issues surrounding the late
payments have been resolved and staff is working furiously to ensure you are paid. As a courtesy, we also ask that you not evict clients for nonpayment of rent if it is because DHA has not
processed its portion of the rent. DHA works with approximately 6,000 property owners who provide affordable housing assistance to more than 16,000 families who are in need of housing in the Dallas
area. We believe in this program and we believe the voucher program is an ideal program for the families we serve. If you have concerns that are not already being addressed, cont
act the landlord hotline and leave a voice message at 214-951-8460 or e-mail LL-Hotline@dhadal.com. Staff will contact you within 24 hours. If it is an
emergency/urgent issue, landlords can meet with a Section 8 landlord liaison at 2575 Lone Star Drive from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Again, thank you for working with us toward solutions. We
