Family Self Sufficiency Program
Family Self Sufficiency is a voluntary program designed to assist families in becoming economically independent and self-sufficient.
With the support of local agencies, FSS combines:
- case management
- education
- job training
- homeownership
And provides ongoing assistance through:
- support groups
- other appropriate services
Eligible participants
Current HCV heads of households and their family members who are:
- committed to attaining self-sufficiency and economic independence
- in school, in training or employed a minimum 30 hours per week
- willing to sign a Contract of Participation
