Board of Commissioners
The Board of Commissioners is responsible for establishing policies, as well as providing leadership and oversight to the organization. The board is composed of five members appointed by the mayor
of Dallas. The members serve a two-year term.
Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. From time to time the date and time may change. Meeting locations vary and are posted to the website on a monthly basis.
"DHA is honored to have board members who are as passionate about the housing industry as they are about providing safe, decent and affordable housing for low-income families," says Ann Lott,
president and CEO.
Betty Culbreath is current board chairman. Under Culbreath's leadership, the board plans to significantly expand home ownership opportunities through mortgage assistance programs and DHA's
family self-sufficiency efforts.
The board and Lott have begun long-term strategic planning to maximize the agency's assets to ensure DHA meets the affordable housing needs of the community and builds sustainable communities. DHA
will continue to create and cultivate programs designed to assist families in achieving economic independence.
