The Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly Section 8) provides assistance, in the form of a voucher, to low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities for rental units chosen by the
tenant in the private market. DHA provides payments directly to participating property owners to offset the cost difference between tenant payments and unit rent. Program applicants may choose from a
variety of housing options including apartments, duplexes, single-family homes and townhomes.
DHA is currently seeking property owners to participate in the Housing Choice Voucher program and has clients on waiting lists who are ready to move into your property.
There are several benefits to participating in the program, from free advertising of your property to assistance in screening potential tenants.
